The general consensus over there seems to be that bulking and cutting is outdated and that it's perfectly reasonable to expect to be able to gain muscle and lose weight long term. So I came across a thread on r/nutrition where the people who advocated for bulking/cutting or more specifically suggested it's difficult to gain muscle on a caloric deficit are being downvoted.
